The Fründenhorn is a 3369 m high mountain in the Bernese Alps. It is located south of the Oeschinen near Kandersteg. To the west it is about Fründenjoch ( 2983 m ) to the doldenhorn. To the east is connected by the Oeschinenjoch ( 3172 m), the Oeschinenhorn and after that to the east the Blüemlisalp. To the south, the whole group falls into steep rock faces of the Kanderfirn. From Fründenjoch and from Oeschinenjoch start northward each a glacier ( Fründen and Oeschinengletscher ) direction Oeschinensee, between which rises the Fründenhorn.

At the foot of its northwest flank, below the Fründengletschers, situated on 2562 m Fründen Hut, which is the starting point for an ascent.

Tours to the top

The normal route to the Fründenhorn runs through the northwest. From the Fründen Hut to go about the Fründengletscher on the northwest ridge, which carries over to a Firnflanke. About this edge, the end only one ice ridge, you reach the top ( WS ).
