Future Boy Conan

Mirai Shonen Conan (未来 少年 コナンJapanese, German "Future Boy Conan ") is a produced by Nippon Animation and directed by Hayao Miyazaki anime television series of 1978. Action

The history begins in July 2008, at a time when humanity is threatened with extinction. A devastating war between the major nations with ultra- magnetic weapons was preceded and had great damage done to the earth's crust and can tilt the Earth's axis, so that the five continents torn and had been lowered below the sea level.

The attempt by a group of people to flee into space, failed and their spaceships crashed back to earth. Only one of them escaped the destruction and made a crash landing on a tiny island that had survived miraculously. The castaways settled there and built a small settlement.

Among these survivors, a boy named Conan was born after about nine years, a new ray of hope on earth. Eleven years later, most of the survivors have already died and only Conan and his " grandfather " are still alive on the island. The television series was produced in 1978 by Nippon Animation and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It was his directorial debut. In addition, Keiji Hayakawa and Isao Takahata were as co- directors and writers as well as Yoshiyuki Tomino, Seiji Okuda, Noboru Ishiguro and Takayoshi Suzuki participated as authors.
