Fyodor Schechtel

Fyodor Ossipowitsch ( Francis Albert) Schechtel (Russian Фёдор Осипович Шехтель; * 26 Julijul / August 7 1859greg in Saint Petersburg, .. † July 7, 1926 in Moscow) was a famous Russian architect of German descent. He was one of the founders of Art Nouveau in architecture. His hometown Moscow decorate over 40 buildings that were built according to his designs, including the building of Yaroslavsky railway station, the home of the factory owner Ryabushinsky, the building of the Art Theatre and the House of Moscow merchant society.
