Gabriel Hanotaux

Albert Auguste Gabriel Hanotaux ( born November 9, 1853 in Beaurevoir, Aisne, † April 11, 1944 in Paris) was a French historian. From 1893 to 1895, 1896 to 1898, he held the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs and in 1898 that of the colonial minister of France.

Hanotaux, who belonged to the Republican camp, wrote works on Richelieu, Jeanne d'Arc and Ferdinand Foch, as well as a significant time history of France ( 1903-1908 ).
