Gao Ning

Gao Ning (Chinese高 宁/高 宁, Pinyin Gao Ning, born October 11, 1982 in Hebei, People's Republic of China ) is a Singaporean table tennis player. In 2012 he took part in the Olympic Games for the second time.

Career

Gao Ning was born in China, but resigned internationally always on for Singapore. Since 2004 he is a member of the national squad. From 2007 to the present (2012 ) he was nominated for all six World Championships. In 2004, he came here in a double quarter-finals. Successful also in double he was at the ITTF Pro Tour Grand Finals, where he won in 2008 with Yang Zi and 2009 and 2010, reached the final. With the same partner he became Asian champions in 2012, with Li Jia Wei, he finished second in mixed doubles. Successfully he was also at the Commonwealth Championships in 2007 and 2009: Both times he won the individual and with the team, he reached the final of each in a double with Yang Zi and Sun Beibei in mixed doubles with.

At the Olympic Games in 2008, Gao Ning difference immediately against Tan Ruiwu (Croatia ), with the team of Singapore, he came in ninth place. In 2012 he qualified on the world rankings. Here he won against Bojan TOKIĆ and subsequently lost to the Chinese Wang Hao.

Currently (2012 ) plays Gao Ning at the French club Chartres ASTT, with whom he 2011/11 ETTU Cup winner was in season.
