Dembele (2011)

Garra Dembele ( born February 21, 1986 in Gennevilliers, France) is a French- Malian football player who is used mainly as a striker.

Life and career

Dembele was trained as a teenager in the youth academy of French football in Clairefontaine -en- Yvelines and signed his first contract in 2001 with the AJ Auxerre. When he was staying in November 2006 because of a change of club in Rome, he was accused of raping an American student in a nightclub, but later acquitted for lack of evidence. After that he joined for six months FC Istres and then moved to AGF Aarhus in Denmark. After a short time the AGF terminated the contract with Dembele for sporting reasons.

After further stops in Auxerre, Greece and Plovdiv Dembele played from July 2010 at Levski Sofia in the Bulgarian A Grupa. For Levski he scored 2010/11 in 36 official matches 34 goals in the league but it was enough only for runners.

In the summer of 2011, the SC Freiburg Dembele committed. For Freiburg, he debuted on 6 August 2011 ( Matchday 1 ) in a 2-2 away draw against FC Augsburg, when he came on in the 88th minute for Daniel Caligiuri. His first Bundesliga goal he scored on 26 November 2011 ( 14 Matchday) in a 1-1 away draw against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

On January 31, 2013 Dembele moved to end on loan to China to Wuhan Zall FC.
