Garrett Eckbo

Garrett Eckbo ( born November 28, 1910 in Cooperstown, New York, † 14 May 2000 ) was an American landscape architect Norwegian descent. Together with Dan Kiley and Thomas Church, he is one of the triggers of the " Harvard Revolution", which introduced the classic modernist style of Walter Gropius and Mies van der Rohe in the American garden design. He is known especially for his asymmetrical designs that were dominated by diagonals.
