Gary Trousdale

Gary Trousdale ( born June 8, 1960) is an American film director, among other things, Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Atlantis - The Lost Empire produced.

Biography

Gary Trousdale first wanted to be an architect, but opted instead for a three-year studies in animation at the California Institute of the Arts. In 1982, he began to design storyboards and other animations, then he proceeded to do this for restaurant menus and T -shirts.

From 1985 he worked for the Walt Disney Company and the animated effects for Taran and the Magic Cauldron. He became known in 1991 for his directing Beauty and the Beast and was nominated for an Oscar in the category " Best Film". He also won one of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award. 1996 he directed The Hunchback of Notre Dame and in 2001 to Atlantis - The Lost Empire.

In 2003 he moved to DreamWorks Animation, where he worked on projects such as The Madagascar Penguins in a pre-Christmas Mission ( 2005), Shrek - worked Oh the Halls (2007) and Scared Shrekless (2010).
