Generation Terrorists is the debut of the Welsh band Manic Street Preachers. It was released on 10 February 1992 The style of the recording is comparable with the album Appetite for Destruction by Guns N ' Roses.; the band pursued a guitar -oriented hard rock, which gave way to a slightly quieter alternative rock on their later albums. The lyrics are heavily inspired by the socialism of the band members - 16 of the 18 songs have a political / social critical text. This went so far that in the U.S. only a defused recording the LP could be sold ( the same thing happened even The Clash at the release of their self-titled debut ).
