Gennady Stolyarov
Gennady Dmitrievich Stoljarow (Russian Геннадий Дмитрижевитсч Столяров; born August 20, 1986 in Moscow, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player standing since June 2011 Severstal Cherepovets in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.
Career
Gennadi Stoljarow began his career as a hockey player with the HK MVD Tver, for the first team he made his debut in the Wysschaja League, the second Russian league was in season 2003/ 04. Subsequently, he was selected in the eighth round in the NHL Entry Draft in 2004 as a total 257 players from the Detroit Red Wings, for which he, however, never played. Instead, the winger stayed in Russia and moved within the Wysschaja League to Vityaz Chekhov, with whom he achieved promotion to the Super League. He himself remained in the second division and joined Kapitan Stupino at, for which he played only 17 games before he was during the season 2005/ 06 committed by HK Dynamo Moscow from the Super League. For the capital club he ran in the following two and a half years on a regular basis, reaching three times with his team to the playoffs.
After Stoljarow had started the 2008/09 season at HK Dynamo Moscow in the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League, he moved after just three games for Kazakh KHL participants Barys Astana, for whom he scored twelve goals in 44 games to end of season and nine assists gave. For the following season the Russians signed a contract with his risen in the meantime and had moved to Balaschicha former club HK MVD. With this he was defeated in the 2009/10 season the league rivals Ak Bars Kazan until the final of the playoffs for the Gagarin Cup. After the season of HK MVD was merged with the HK Dynamo Moscow and the left gunner received a contract for the 2010/11 season in its successor team OHK Dynamo.
