Georg Andreas Kraft

Georg Andreas Kraft (* around 1660 in Nuremberg, † December 1, 1726 in Kaster ) (also Crafft of Crafft, Krafft, etc. ) was a German Baroque composer.

Force is detectable since 1679 in Dusseldorf. The Pfalz- Neuburg, Hereditary Prince Johann Wilhelm sent the young force for musical training to Rome to Corelli. When removing the Palatine Chapel in Dusseldorf force fell to a key role as concertmaster. With the Kapellmeister Sebastiano Moratelli (1640-1706) and especially with Johann Hugo von poachers linked him close friendship, which found expression in the creation of sound in both cases. Before 1700 power was used as a bailiff in Kaster, appointed to Hofkammerrat little later. In his first marriage he was married to Anna Maria Müller from Düsselborf. His second wife, Johanna Margaretha, was a daughter of the Palatine war Upper Commissioner Peter Dietrich von Beautiful Beck. She bore him twelve children. His son Sebastian John (* 1692 ) in 1722 successor of his father as bailiff to Kaster. 1711 drew the Concert Master of the Palatine Chapel Crafft with the imperial coronation of Charles VI. to Frankfurt am Main. In 1713 he was no longer involved in poacher Opera Amalasunta; apparently he had come loose from the compositional commitments. Also, the concertmaster position he resigned. When, after the death of Johann Wilhelm 1716 a large part of Düsseldorf musicians followed her new Prince Karl Philipp to Heidelberg and Mannheim, remained in force Kaster to spend his twilight years.

Among his works are overtures and ballet to Düsseldorf opera performances as well as a - not detectable today - chamber sonata, which was printed in Amsterdam in 1714 by Estienne Roger. As concertmaster of the orchestra is kurpfälzischen force at the beginning of the series, which crosses Gottfried Finger and the lutenist Johann Sigismund Weiss (1690-1737, brother of Silvius Leopold Weiss ) to Johann Stamitz. The Italian librettist Giorgio Maria Rapparini, detectable by 1685-1716 in Dusseldorf, provides the composer with poachers force on one level.
