George Leo Thomas

George Leo Thomas ( born May 19, 1950 in Anaconda, Montana, United States) is the Bishop of Helena.

Life

George Leo Thomas received on 22 May 1976 the Archbishop of Seattle, Raymond Gerhardt Hunt Hausen, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On 19 November 1999, Pope John Paul II appointed titular bishop of Vagrauta and appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop of Seattle. The Archbishop of Seattle, Alexander Joseph Brunett, donated to him on 28 January 2000, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Spokane, William Stephen Skylstad, and the Bishop of Yakima, Carlos Arthur Sevilla, SJ. On 23 March 2004, John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Helena. The inauguration took place on 4 June of the same year.
