George Town Council

Georgetown is located on the north coast of the island and is about 205 km north of the capital, Hobart. The area includes 11 districts and towns: Beech Ford, Bell Bay, Bellingham, George Town, Hillwood, Lefroy, Long Reach, Low Head, Lulworth, Pipers River and Weymouth. The seat of the City Council is located in the village of Georgetown in the west of the LGA where about 4300 inhabitants.
Management
The George Town Council has nine members. The Mayor ( Mayor ), his deputy ( deputies) and Councillor seven are elected directly by the residents of the LGA. Georgetown is not divided into districts.
