Gerald Brom

Gerald Brom ( born March 9, 1965 in Albany, Georgia) is an American gothic and fantasy artist and illustrator.

Youth

Since his father was a pilot in the Army of the United States, he often had to move with. In this context, he lived including Japan and Germany, where he also graduated from high school in Frankfurt am Main. Growing up in a military dominated environment, Gerald Brom acclimated to be addressed by his last name, and simply signed today as BROM.

Career

With 20 Brom started working full-time as an illustrator. Already a little later at the age of 21 he was one of renowned companies such as Coca -Cola, IBM, Columbia Pictures and CNN among its customers. At 24, he worked for TSR fixed and there he created, among other illustrations for the role playing game Dungeons and Dragons (especially for the campaigns Forgotten Realms and Dark Sun ), as well as collectible card games like Magic: The Gathering manufacturer Wizards of the Coast.

In TSR he remained four years to return to 1994 as an independent artist on the market. Since then he has designed concepts for films and comics illustrated, in particular those of DC, Chaos Comics and Dark Horse. He has also worked for numerous manufacturers of computer games (such as iD, Blizzard, Sega and Activision ).

Bromine has also designed together with the company Fewture own fetish toys series and bronzes for Franklin Mint and cover for several novels ( by Michael Moorcock, Terry Brooks, RA Salvatore, Edgar Rice Burroughs ). In the course of even more cover incurred for books in the field of Wizards of the Coast, among other things, for the fantasy series War of the Spider Queen and reprints of the Avatar series.

Bromine lives with his wife and two sons in Seattle.
