Gerardo Núñez

Gerardo Núñez ( * 1961 in Jerez de la Frontera ) is a Spanish flamenco guitarist. He is married to the flamenco dancer Carmen Cortés.

In addition to Paco de Lucía he is considered one of the most important modern nernen flamenco guitarist. His way of playing is virtuosic, his compositions combine classical flamenco with elements of jazz and include some of the classic works of flamenco jazz. He has collaborated with artists from various genres such as Plácido Domingo, Julio Iglesias, the band Mecano, bassist Renaud Garcia- Fons and many other flamenco guitarists and singers.
