Gerhard Eck
Gerhard Eck ( born January 24, 1960 in Schweinfurt ) is a Bavarian politician. As a member of the CSU it belongs since 1998 to the Bavarian Landtag. Since October 14, 2009 Eck is a State Secretary in the Ministry of the Interior a member of the Bavarian government.

Life
Education and work
Eck made after attending the elementary and secondary school from 1966 to 1975 in 1975 to 1978, a draftsman with teaching degree. After he made from 1979 to 1981 as a bricklayer with financial statements.
Party race
Eck is a member of the CSU since 1984 and was in his party in many offices within the group active. He was since 1997 CSU district chairman Schweinfurt - country and since 1997 a member of the CSU district board. In 2011 he was elected Lower Franconia District Chairman of the CSU.
Public offices
Eck was for his party 1984-1990 in the council of thunder village, and then from 1990 to 2009 first mayor of thunder village. Since 1996, Eck County Council in the council of the district of Schweinfurt.
Since the September 28, 1998 Eck is a member of the Landtag. Corner represents the voting district of Schweinfurt ( electoral district Lower Franconia ).
As a successor to the retiring White Bernd Prime Minister Horst Seehofer called him on 13 October 2009 in the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior.

Politically, Eck is in favor of the continued use of nuclear energy.
Eck is a critic of the use of wind energy. The Süddeutsche Zeitung described him in 2013 as supporters of wind energy opponents.
Conservation
The inclusion of parts of the Nature Park Steigerwald Forest in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Program by the reclassification into a national park Steigerwald tries to prevent " Steigerwald Our" Eck as chairman of the association.
