Gerry Geran

George Pierce " Gerry " Geran ( born February 22, 1895 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, † September 1981 in Brooklyn, New York ) was an American professional ice hockey player. He played on the position of the center.

Career

At the Summer Olympics in Antwerp in 1920, he won the U.S. national team, which was composed of players from St. Paul AC, Pittsburgh and Boston AA AA, the silver medal in the Olympic ice hockey tournament. In the NHL, he played in the season 1917/18 for the Montreal Wanderers and in the season 1925/26 for the Boston Bruins. Geran was the first American to ever in an NHL game was on the ice. In its debut season all other NHL players from Canada arrived. In the season 1921/22, he won the French league title with the club of Patineurs de Paris.
