The Base Aérea de Getafe is a military airbase of the Spanish Air Force ( Ejército del Aire ). The base is located in the Madrid region on the territory of the municipality of Getafe, a good 15 kilometers south of downtown Madrid. The airfield is also used civil, among other things, the company EADS.

History

Zivle use

EADS uses the terrain east of the runway. Cassidian operating at the location the Spanish final assembly of the Euro Fighter Typhoon and Airbus Military upgraded civilian Airbus models to tanker and transport aircraft, mainly those of the A330 series. Components civilian Airbus models, such as horizontal stabilizers are manufactured in the range of ( civilian) company Airbus. You may also be transported with belugas to other Airbus sites.
