Gevorg Kasparov

Gevorg Kasparov (Armenian Գեւորգ Կասպարով; Russian Геворг Владимирович Каспаров; born July 25, 1980 in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, USSR) is a football player of Armenian national football team. He currently plays for FC Pjunik Yerevan in the Armenian league in the position of goalkeeper.

Recent career

Kasparov signed on 25 January 2007 a ​​two- year contract with Pas Tehran and made ​​his debut match on 6 March 2007 against FC Malavan. After the dissolution of the Association, and after only 10 games, he returned to Armenia and since then plays again for FC Pjunik Yerevan, his previous club.

Internationally

He is a member of the Armenian national football team and was a key player in the game to qualify for the European Football Championship 2008.
