Ghost Brigade (band)

Ghost Brigade is a six-person Finnish progressive death metal band from Jyväskylä, which was founded in 2005. So far the band has released three studio albums under the label Season of Mist.

History

The band was formed in 2005 by singer husband icons, guitarist Tommi Kiviniemi and will Naukkarinen, drummer Veli -Matti Suihkonen and bassist Janne Julin. The following year they released their first demo, which they sent to various magazines and labels. Thus, the band reached a deal with Season of Mist.

In spring 2007 the band went into the studio Seawolf, which is located on a small island in front of Helsinki. As a keyboardist Aleksi Munter ( Swallow the Sun, Insomnium ) was there represented. The debut album Guided by Fire was released in September, which was produced by Mikko Poikolainen and Aaro Seppovaara. Following the publication was followed by several individual performances in Europe. In summer 2008 the band played at the Hellfest in France. In the summer, followed by an appearance at the Summer Breeze festival. Beginning of August 2009 appeared the album Isolation Songs, the 2011 Until Fear No Longer Defines Us followed. 2010, the band performed for the first time in 2012 and again at the Wacken Open Air.

Style

The band's music is described as a mix of gothic, melodic death and doom metal. In addition, bonds issued by the alternative metal band burst can be heard.
