Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (Japanese攻壳机动队STAND ALONE COMPLEX, Kōkaku Kidōtai STAND ALONE COMPLEX ) is a 26- episode anime television series from 2002, based on Masamune Shirow's Ghost in the Shell universe. Overview

The action takes place mostly in the fictional Japanese city of New Port City ( Niihama -shi) in 2030, where the members of the special unit section 9 are entrusted with the investigation of various cases of crime, espionage and terrorism.
