Giacobbe Fragomeni

Giacobbe Fragomeni ( born August 13, 1969 in Milan ) is an Italian professional boxer and former WBC world cruiserweight champion.

Fragomeni, the European amateur champion in 1998, won the WBC title on October 24, 2008 in Milan against Rudolf Kraj. Due to a cut of the fight in the eighth round was canceled and evaluated. Fragomeni was unanimously declared the winner on points. On 21 November 2009 Fragomeni ran against Zsolt Erdei and lost the WBC title defense fight just on points. Fragomeni is considered rather as a tough fighter for when technicians. His public image is shaped by his background and his difficult childhood in the slums of Milan.
