Giampiero Albertini

Giampiero Albertini ( born December 20, 1927 in Muggiò, † 14 May 1991 ) was an Italian actor and voice actor.

Life and work

Albertini studied at the " Accademia dei Filodrammatici " in Milan and began 1953 with the theater work in the Italian capital. He has worked with directors such as Giorgio Strehler and Orazio Costa, and later with the "Stable di Bolzano ". From 1962 he devoted himself exclusively to the film (and later television ) when he was in La marcia su Roma interpreted the significant, though not extensive role of " Cristoforo ". In his filmography of around 70 stocks, there are artistically ambitious works, but also numerous commercial works, with Albertini often played minor roles. He was also known by the representation of police officers in Poliziottesco movies. He usually played the drawn from life, hard- boiled cop. Even in comedies and historical subjects worked with Albertini.

For television, Albertini played in numerous successful films. He also starred in commercials of kitchen equipment manufacturers and worked as a voice actor; he was Peter Falk's Italian voice as Columbo.

In Germany he was, inter alia, synchronized by Kurt E. Ludwig.
