Gian Francesco Albani

Giovanni Francesco Albani ( born February 26, 1720 in Rome, † September 15, 1803 in Rome ) was a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

He was knighted by Pope Benedict XIV in the cardinal level in April 1747. From 1775 to 1803 he was a Cardinal Bishop of Ostia and Cardinal Dean. He was in his tenure conduct (the longest one cardinal dean ) a conclave. This led in 1800 to the election of Pius VII He participated in four conclaves.
