Gilles Ségal

Gilles Ségal ( born January 13, 1932 in Fălticeni, Romania) is a French actor.

He became famous in 1964 as spectacular burglars in Jules Dassin's Topkapi Giulio. He served with the legendary scene in which he silently rappelling down to the diamond-studded dagger, as a model for Tom Cruise's part in Mission: Impossible. Two years later he played a major role in the Soviet- French co-production Tretya Molodost. In the 70s he worked with Costa -Gavras ( The Confession ), Marc Monnet ( Léa in winter), Philippe Labro ( nine in the crosshairs ) and Edouard Molinaro (escape in the circle).

A great success was his role as a husband at the side of Claude Brigitte Fossey in Faraldos honey flowers. He had a major TV role in 1975 as Julius Rosenberg next to Marie -José Nat in The Rosenbergs may not die.
