Giora Feidman ( born March 25, 1936 in Buenos Aires ) is a clarinetist and instrumental soloists of klezmer music.

Life

Giora Feidman comes from a family of klezmer musicians whose tradition he continued in the fourth generation. His ancestors were encountered at weddings, bar mitzvahs and other celebrations in the shtetls of Eastern European regions. Feidman parents were Bessarabian Jews who emigrated around 1905 because of the onset of anti-Jewish pogroms to South America. His father was his first teacher.
