Glen Innes (New South Wales)

Glen Innes is a town of about 6,000 inhabitants in the north of the Australian state of New South Wales. It is located 600 km north of Sydney and 360 kilometers south west of Brisbane at the junction of the New England Highway to the Gwydir Highway. The city is the administrative headquarters of the administrative area ( LGA) Glen Innes Severn Council.

The production of wool, as well as cattle and sheep are the last 150 years, the main economic activities in this region. In addition to timber production and the mining of sapphires plays a role. History
