Glenturret is a distillery in Crieff on the River Turret, Perthshire Scotland, United Kingdom. The distillery is part of the liquor company The Edrington Group, claims for itself claim to be the oldest still producing distillery in Scotland.

History

The distillery is one of the oldest in Scotland. Already in 1717 said to have been burned illegal whiskey here. Today's single malt distillery dates back to 1775. This date is also on today selling single malts from the distillery.

Production

The water belonging to the Highlands distillery dates from Loch Turret. The malt used comes from the malt house of the Tamdhu distillery.
