Gloss Drop

Gloss Drop is the second studio album by the American Math rock band Battles. It was released in June 2011 on Warp Records. The band announced a tour to promote the album.

Gloss Drop is the first release of the band after the singer Tyondai Braxton had separated from the band. Therefore, the majority of the album is instrumental, but vocals are supplied by many guest performers, including the electric musician Gary Numan and Kazo Makino of the American dream pop band Blonde Redhead.

Ice Cream was the first single from the album. It was published on 23 May 2011, both digital as on 12-inch vinyl. The vinyl version was limited to 3000 copies and was released in three different "flavors". The directors' collective CANADA from Barcelona produced a music video for the song. The single contains the B-side, the song " Black Sundome " and an instrumental version of " Ice Cream".
