Go! Discs

Go! Discs Records is a British record label.

The label was founded in London in January 1983 by former Stiff Records- Press Manager Andy MacDonald. Reason, MacDonald according to the New Musical Express (17 October 1987): "I just thought, that's worth a try though, and it seemed to me to be a good way to find what I liked to listen to, to get on the radio. " ( " I just thought it was worth trying and it Seemed a good way of getting some of the things I liked to hear the ontological radio. " )

First artist to Go! Discs were The box with the 12 " EP" No Time for Talk ". For commercial success from 1985, it was primarily Billy Bragg and the Housemartins. Other artists and bands on Go! Discs in the early years: The Bathers, The Bic, Boot Hill Foot Tappers, Captains of Industry, His Latest Flame, June Kingston, The La's, A Thousand Miles of Sunshine.

Lucrative chart hits delivered later formed from the Housemartins and The Beautiful South Beats International. 1992 signed Paul Weller at Go! Discs.

Go! Beat Records was founded as an offshoot of dance music like Gabrielle or Portishead.

In 1996, MacDonald back when Polygram, the majority of Go! Discs secured. He then founded Independiente Records. Paul Weller he took there with.
