Life

Paul Weller was known as a singer and guitarist of the British band The Jam ( 1972-1982 ). After its dissolution, he founded The Style Council (1983-1989) along with Mick Talbot. Since 1992 he has worked as a solo artist, his best-known solo albums are Wild Wood (1993) and Stanley Road ( 1995), which won quadruple platinum status in the UK.

The other releases were not as successful, reaching the UK but still good chart positions. Was released in 2004 the album Studio 150, which consisted entirely of cover versions. With the publication of his 2005 album As Is Now Weller gave back their own compositions that received consistently excellent reviews.

The BRIT Awards 2006 Paul Weller was honored for his " Outstanding Contribution to British Music ". The award is the highest award that can be awarded the British record industry. 2009 Paul Weller was named best male solo artist again won a BRIT Award.

For Pretty Green, the fashion label of his friend, singer Liam Gallagher, Paul Weller designed his first collection in 2011.

From 1985 to 1998 Weller was married to the British singer Dee C. Lee, who from 1982 to 1983 for Wham! and from 1985 to 1987 for The Style Council sang the backing vocals. Weller and Lee have a son together ( Natt ) and a daughter ( Leah ). Another daughter ( Dylan ) is shown in the short-term relationship with the make- up artist Lucy.
