Gochas is a small village in Namibia, approximately 100 km east of Gibeon and 50 km east of Witbooisvlei. Gochas situated on 1139 m above sea level. NN on the shores of Auob Rivier here - in contrast to the surrounding areas of Gochas and the western foothills of the Kalahari - is relatively green.

Gochas is the intersection of the main road C18 and C15 and has an airport and a hospital. The village is a Catholic parish in the Diocese of Keetmanshoop and seat of the Epiphany Church Congregation in Mariental district of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Republic of Namibia.

History

In Gochas was from 1904 to 1914 the garrison of the camel riders of the Security Group of the then German South-West Africa.
