Gockowice

Gockowice [ ɡɔʦkɔv iʦɛ ʲ ] ( German Götz village ) is a village in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship and is part of the urban and rural community Chojnice ( Konitz ) in the powiat Chojnicki ( Kreis Konitz ).

Geographical location

Gockowice located 13 kilometers southeast of the city Chojnice ( Konitz ) on the northwest shore of the Jezioro Gockowickie in close proximity to Woiwodschaftssgrenze of Kujawy. The village can be reached from the province road 240 via Silno ( Frankenhagen ). Also leading from Raciąż about Wysoka ( Wittstock ) a side road just after Gockowice. The nearest railway station is on the railway line from Silno Chojnice about Tuchola ( Tuchel ) Działdowo ( Soldau ).

History

The place was a Gutsbezirk to 1908 /10 and was then converted into a rural community. 1874, the village in the newly created District Lottyn (now Polish: Lotyń ) incorporated, which belonged to the district of Konitz in the district of Marienwerder ( Kwidzyn ) in West Prussia. Lottyn was also the seat of the competent registry office, while the district court in Konitz ( Chojnice ) was. From 1912 was Sternau ( Sternowo ) seat of the administrative district. In 1920 Götzdorf came up in 1939 with the Kreis Konitz to Poland, after the village was first decide in the District Konitz country, incorporated in 1944 in the District Osterwick ( Ostrowite ). In consequence of the Second World War Götzdorf was assigned to Poland again and was given the vernacular name " Gockowice ". Today the village is a village within the city and rural community Chojnice ( Konitz ) within the same powiat Chojnicki in the Pomeranian Voivodeship ( 1975-1998: Province of Bydgoszcz ( Bromberg ) ).

By 1920 or 1945, the evangelical church members were idol village in the parish Rittel (now Polish: Rytel ) eingepfarrt. Today, the site is located within the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sępólno Krajeńskie ( Zempelburg ), a branch of the parish church in Bydgoszcz ( Bromberg ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.

Catholic

The Catholic population Götz village were also the same in Gockowice the parish in Osterwick respectively as today. Assigned Ostrowite. Today it belongs to the deanery Rytel ( Rittel ) in the diocese of Pelplin of the Catholic Church in Poland
