Goldie Sayers

Goldie Sayers (born 16 July 1982 Newmarket; actually Katherine Sayers ) is a British javelin thrower. She is three -time Olympian and holds the national record in the javelin.

Career

Sayers was the first time sit up when she in the 2001 season, won several junior titles and junior records improved. This season, she was named captain of the British U-20 team. The following year, she won at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in sixth place.

Between 2003 and 2007, won Sayers five times in a row, the British Championship, but missed in international competitions always top rankings. At the 2009 World Championships she did not survive the qualification. Two years later, she was tenth in the world championships in Daegu. At the European Championships 2012 in Helsinki Sayers reached number four. Shortly thereafter, they improved the British record to 66.17 meters. At the Olympic Games in London, but due to an injury she reached the final.
