States:

Tasmania

The Goodwood Road is an urban motorway in the south of the Australian state of Tasmania. The four-lane road connecting Glenorchyund the Brooker Highway (N1 ) over the Bowen Bridge, which crosses the River Derwent, with the East Derwent Highway (B32 ) southeast of Otago. The road is not as dense as the other drive on freeways in and around Hobart, but serves as a relief road for the rush-hour traffic, when other important roads are blocked due to accidents.

Course

The force driving road branches off about 10 km north of the center of Hobart, close to the exhibition center, the Brooker Highway to the east. It leads to the Elwick Racecourse over over the Bowen Bridge, and finally hits the East Derwent Highway.

Further plans

The Tasmanian Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources is planning a Umtrassierung of Goodwood Road and Elwick Road to improve traffic flow on the Brooker Highway and saving lights.
