Gordon Smith (ice hockey)

Gordon Smith ( born February 14, 1908 in Winchester, Massachusetts, † October 22, 1999 in Boston, Massachusetts ) was an American professional ice hockey player.

Career

Gordon Smith briefly attended Boston University, for their hockey team he played in parallel. The majority of his career, he spent but in amateur hockey with the Boston Hockey Club and the Boston Olympics. Following his hockey career, he was an investment advisor in Boston.

Internationally

For the U.S., Smith participated in the 1932 Olympics in Lake Placid and 1936 in Garmisch -Partenkirchen. In addition, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1931. At the Winter Games in 1932 he won with his team the silver, at the Winter Games in 1936 the bronze medal. At the 1931 World Championships, he won the U.S. also the silver medal.
