The Göritz is a six -kilometer-long, left tributary of the Steinach in the Thuringian Slate Mountains.
Course
The Göritz springs north of Kieferle near the place Steinheid in about 775 meters. Then it forms a cramp-like, steep valley in a southeasterly direction in which runs the main road of Steinheid to Steinach. It opens at the Göritz mill north of Steinach in 524 meters from the left in the Steinach.
