Region

Gouré is a town and the capital of the eponymous department Gouré in Niger.

Geography

Gouré located in the Sahel region, some 160 kilometers east of the regional capital of Zinder. The neighboring municipalities are Gamou and trowel in the north, Goudoumaria in the east, Boune in the south, Guidiguir the southwest, Damagaram Takaya in the west and Moa in the northwest. The urban area is divided into eight districts, 66 administrative villages, 70 traditional villages, 33 hamlets and five storage divided. History
