The Office Gransee and communities is a 1992 formed Office in Brandenburg, in the first 17 ​​municipalities in the former county Gransee (now County Upper Havel, Brandenburg ) were combined into an administrative group. Geographical location

History

On 8 July 1992, the Minister of the Interior gave its approval for the formation of the Office Gransee and communities, has been set for the conclusion of July 21, 1992. As the seat of the city administration office Gransee was determined. The following 17 municipalities from the former county Gransee were in it together ( in order of mention in the Official Journal):

For the 13th February 1997, the municipalities Altlüdersdorf, Kraatz Buberow, Meseberg and Neulögow were incorporated into the city Gransee. On 1 May 1998, the municipalities Baumgarten and Sonnenberg merged to form the new municipality of Sonnenberg.

On September 27, 1998, the municipalities Großwoltersdorf, Wolfsruh and Zernikow merged to form the new municipality Großwoltersdorf. September 27, 1998, the municipalities Dollgow, Menz and Neuglobsow merged to form the new municipality Stechlin. Also, 27 October 1998, the municipality Seilershof was incorporated into the city Gransee. On 1 January 2003, the municipality Dannenwalde was incorporated into the city Gransee. And October 26, 2003, the village communities Schulz and Rönnebeck were integrated into the community Sonnenberg.

Demographics

The population in the area of ​​today's Office Gransee and communities developed from 1875 until the Second World War, less than the growth of the territory of present-day Brandenburg. With the refugees from the eastern areas of Germany, there was a significant push towards the end of the Second World War. Since then, the number of residents aged continuously. This decrease is not a phenomenon that has been used only since the end of the GDR. All forecasts predict a further decline.
