Grant Bluett

Grant Bluett is a former Australian orienteers. In 2001, he won a gold medal in the individual race at the World Games.

After participating in the Junior World Championships in 1992 in Jyväskylä in 1993 he ran for the first time at the World Championships the elite. In 1999 he was in the overall standings of the Park World Tour third behind the Dane Allan Mogensen and the Czech Rudolf Ropek. The greatest successes came after the turn of the millennium, when he in 2001 and 2003, the Campsite eleven and eight reached in the sprint at the World Championships and has been with the squadron, including Troy de Haas, sixth. At the World Games 2001 he made the greatest triumph of his career. In the middle distance race he won with around 38 seconds ahead of gates Sandvik from Norway the gold medal. The Australian Mixed Relay also achieved a fifth place, only 15 seconds behind the bronze medal winners from Sweden. In 2003 he was behind Thierry Gueorgiou from France second in the overall standings of the Park World Tour.

During his career Bluett lived for seven years in Sweden and started there for the clubs Strängnäs - Malmby OL and Malungs OK. The end of 2005 ended Bluett his international career. He started then continue with races in Australia and in 2011 was so oceanic Sprint Champion.
