The Ethniki Odos 67/Εθνική Οδός 67 (Greek for National road 67 ' ) is a highway in northern Greece that connects Thessaloniki with large parts of the peninsula and Chalkidiki prefecture, especially the peninsulas of Sithonia and Kassandra. Through repeated and expansions of section from Thessaloniki to Nea Kallikratia is now a crossing-free highway. Depending on the underlying map series at least the portion Thessaloniki - Nea Kallikratia is reported as highway 67. The expansion of the highway or motorway-like road between Kallikratia and New Moudania in progress.
Through the publication of the official numbering and routing of Greek motorways by the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works in January 2008, the portion of the EO 67 Kato Scholari to Nea Moudania designated as Highway 25. The connection to the northern part of Highway 25 from junction Langadas about Serres by Promachonas to the Bulgarian border is to be accomplished through the outer ring in the planning Thessaloniki. This is also shown as Highway 25.
Course
It runs from Thessaloniki Charilaou ( extension Leoforos Konstantinos Karamanlis or Nea Egnatia Odos from Thessaloniki center ) first motorway junction Kalamaria where it meets the national road 16 ( inner ring Thessaloniki ). Together with this it extends south to the airport of Thessaloniki. Here it separates from the National Road 16 and runs along the sea ( Thermaic golf) a few kilometers distance from the coast to the southeast in the direction of Nea Moudania in Halkidiki, on the northern edge of the Kassandra peninsula. Ridges to be overcome between the junction and the junction Thermi cardia - the National Road 67 here has thus a marked difference or a significant slope (up 10%).
Sections, expansion
From the beginning in Thessaloniki to the junction Kallikratia the national road 67 developed as a highway: 2 carriageway with 2 lanes and one emergency lane. However, missing from the junction Lakkoma the hard shoulder.
In the section of the Cross Kalamaria the junction cardia there are 3 lanes per carriageway.
