Greer is a city in the U.S. state of South Carolina. It is to share in Spartanburg County and Greenville County, respectively. Greer has a population of 25.000 m² on an area of 56.6 km.

Economy

Economic Importance for Greer in particular the only, based in North America BMW plant in the eastern part of the city ( Spartanburg County). Until his end of production in August 2008 where the BMW Z4 model its predecessor, the Z3 was built until mid-2002. Since 2010 is built there the previously produced by Magna Steyr in Austria X3.
