Grega Benedik
Grega Benedictine ( born May 11, 1962 in Žirovnica ) is a former alpine skier from Slovenia. Benedictine belonged in the 1980s to the best slalom racers in the world.
For the Yugoslav Ski Association he took from 1981 to 1990 at the Ski World Cup part. His most successful year was the 1986/87 season when he was fifth overall in the individual World Cup slalom. Overall, he went into the top ten in 18 World Cup races. The only win of his career he succeeded in March 1987 in the domestic Sarajevo.
At the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988 was Benedictine ninth in slalom. He also took part twice in the Alpine World Ski Championships. 1987 in Crans Montana, he was in the slalom 14, and two years later at the World Championships in Vail, he reached the eighth place.
