Reviews

David Nusair wrote on Reel Film Reviews, the performances of the main characters were " extremely effective ", but the film stayed because of the "absurd sentimental and melodramatic screenplay " not drawing into. " Quirky " dialogues and lack of authenticity would bring the film " essentially a sitcom - level."

Michael Rechtshaffen wrote in the magazine The Hollywood Reporter on 12 September 2006, the remake of a TV movie with Peter Falk and Jill Clayburgh in 1976 lend itself to the cable television with female target audience, while the prospects in the theaters would not look as good ( "with boxoffice prospects not looking particularly healthy (...), the picture would probably make a better fit on one of the female -targeted cable channels" ). The government is just as " lifeless " as the representations. The only scenes with the "true focus " owe the movie Blair Brown.
