Griffith (New South Wales)

Griffith is a town in the Australian state of New South Wales and is located about 600 kilometers west of Sydney. It is located in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area at about 130 m altitude.

Griffith was founded in 1916 and has 16,182 inhabitants. The city is one of several settlements that emerged in the context of an irrigation project on the Murrumbidgee River in the Riverina region.
