Group

Group was borrowed in the 18th century from the French and goes back to the Italian gruppo. It may refer to:

  • Social group, a collection of at least three people with direct relationships to each other
  • Population in demography a summary of persons in each statistical characteristics
  • Core group, a purely functional designation of the central section element of several social groups
  • Large group, one is referring to the other reference groups a numerically higher occupied social group
