Guimiliau

Guimiliau ( Gwimilio Breton ) is a commune with 1007 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Finistère, in the Brittany region.

In the small village you will find one of the most famous parish closes Brittany. The parish of Guimiliau is unmatched by any other figure in wealth and also as a whole offers a magnificent sight because of its effective plant above the village square. The Calvaire Guimiliau was 1581-1588 and is with its 200 figures as the second largest of Brittany. The entrance hall of the church is richly decorated with figures depicting scenes from the Old and New Testaments, decorated.
