Saint-Derrien

Saint- Derrien ( Breton Sant - Derc'hen ) is a commune with 797 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Finistère in the Brittany region. It belongs to the Communauté de communes Local Government Association du Pays de Landivisiau.

Geography

The municipality is located in the north- west of Brittany 12 km south of the English Channel coast. On the northern boundary of the municipality, the river runs Flèche.

Morlaix located 26 kilometers to the east, the major city and port of Brest 28 km south-west of Paris and about 480 kilometers east (in straight line ).

Infrastructure

In Landivisiau and Landerneau there are runs on the highway E 50 Brest- Rennes and regional stations in the predominantly parallel railway line.

The train station of Brest is the end of TGV Atlantique to Paris and the airport is Aéroport de Brest Brittany, near Brest is the nearest regional airport. The military airfield Landivisiau lies partially on the territory of the municipality.
