Gulbarga (Lok Sabha constituency)
The Lok Sabha constituency - Gulbarga is a constituency in elections to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament. It is located in the state of Karnataka and covers the majority of the district Gulbara as well as a smaller part of the district of Yadgir.
The constituency is for candidates from lower castes ( scheduled castes ) reserved. The last election to the Lok Sabha 1,543,771 residents were eligible to vote.

Constituency history
The constituency consists Gulbarga Lok Sabha since the first election in 1951. Until 1956, the constituencies for the state of Hyderabad was one, then to the State of Mysore, before it was renamed Karnataka in 1973. Since the 2009 election the constituency for candidates from lower castes is reserved.
