Gungahlin

Gungahlin is a city district of Canberra, Australia's capital. It is 90.1 km ² and comprises seven districts with a total of 27 577 inhabitants ( 2003). Gungahlin is the northernmost district of Canberra and also the youngest. Settlement of the area began in 1993 and continues to hold on. The future growth of the city should be provided mainly here, planned is the construction of twelve other districts. The name of the district is derived from the Aboriginal word Goongarline what " small rocky hill " means. Through the area flowing of Ginninderra Creek, which flows into the Molonglo River.
